Port River Cruises takes the safety of you and your family seriously. Our vessels undergo regular maintenance and safety checks. Each tour starts with our skipper giving clear safety instructions, and we carry lifejackets and emergency procedures on board.

The Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary is home to 30 resident Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins and up to 400 transient dolphins. Port River Cruises follows Marine Mammal Interaction procedures as laid out by the National Parks and Wildlife Service — we don't engage in follow behaviour and allow all interaction to occur at the choice of the dolphins. As the dolphins are wild animals, we do not guarantee sightings, though it's rare not to sight a dolphin on tour. 

 If your preferred cruise is within 48 hours, it's unlikely a spot will open up, so we recommend booking a different time slot. If you do join the wait list, no action is needed on your end — if a spot opens, we'll contact you. 

• A full refund is provided if the tour is cancelled due to poor weather and no alternative time is available.
• No refund is provided for non-attendance at the scheduled time.
• Guests can reschedule if more than 48 hours' notice is given via phone confirmation on 08 7082 9608.
• No refund is provided for cancellations within 48 hours of departure.
• Bookings cancelled within 7 days of departure incur a 50% charge.
• More than 7 days' notice receives a full refund.
